Re: Peter Kay

i think what it is, i'm around the same age as Peter Kay and i can relate more to what he's going on about in the book, (please dont take that the wrong way Kate cos i do luff ya) like when he talks about the sweets that where around when we where little and things like that...i suppose it would be the same for me if i was reading a book that was published in the 70's...i wasnt around till 76 so i couldnt really relate to it

At first i didn't like him as its very 'Northern' humour-which i just didn't get but now he has me in stitches,so much so that i asked for one of his DVDs for mothers day last year.

like you say D, its 'northern humour' and southerners dont seem to get it, i was watching one of his dvds with Stuart once (my ex from Hampshire) and he didnt have a clue what he was on about, you have to be in the right frame of mind to understand him to and to find him funny :D

Know what you mean Flashy. When my 25 year old son was home at Christmas and 2 of his mates staying with me (one a Brummie).. they put on one of his 'gigs' .. I laughed a lot at this .. and I think probably because the lads were were laughing so much, was infectious and passed the mood on to me.

I love peter kay, been a fan for years, and seen him live. Absolutely amazing.

With his books, dont find them AS funny, still entertaining, but not as good as I thought it would be.

Lee evans is another genius in my eyes lol

I read it last week!! I didn't buy it, I borrowed it.

Absolutely hilarious ..... couldn't put it down and couldn't stop laughing.

Kids kept looking at me like I was weird ( ok, maybe they had a point ) :) It does look silly sitting there p!ssing your sides laughing at a book though.

When he said " my mate won a super market sweep in Netto. The full sweep came in at £11.20 " lmao :D
