Peter Kay

Has anyone read his book yet? its absolutely hilarious, i bought it today from't thasda (£3.86) i'm only on chapter 2 but i cant stop laughing when i'm reading it, he's as funny with his writing as he is doing stand-up, when your reading the book you can imagine that broad Bolton accent he has

a great read and highly recommended

I read this book last year, it's fabulous and well worth £3.86. When it first came out in hardback it was £18.

I wasn't paying that though. That's Peter Kay's one fault in my opinion, he's a bit of a money grabber.

I paid £10 for mine because I pre-ordered it on Amazon.

It's available in the library now for anyone who doesn't want to buy it.

It's a brilliant read. :)

Ok .. so I am being contrary here, read it on holiday in September, my friends had it. Sorry, but thought it was not all that good. Peter Kay does make me laugh in a stand up situation, but didn't come across too well in text. The old Carson catchprase of "It's the way I tell 'em", and that was what it smacked of to me.

Very disjointed and found it very difficult to send my face muscles up North to raise a laugh .. disappointing in my opinion (and others). Just a money making effort.

I think people were expecting it to be alot funnier than it is because of what he does for a living, but lets face it-its his autobiography,if it was full to the brim of jokes then surely it would be a joke book?!
