And you can buy them as pets but they are really agressive. I dont know why anyone would want one but sometimes I wonder if I should buy my mum one for her birthday...

You wouldnt sleep for a week if you found one of those on your wall! And you certainly wouldnt be able to use the tried and tested pint glass + beer mat method for catching it!

I remember seeing those camel spiders on Fear Factor once - the contestants had to eat them! Yuk!

Im alright with the idea of them on my wall - thats cool. The idea of eating them is however a little unsettling...

Having said that, check out this pic I found on wikipedia - fried spiders! spiders, chips and tomato ketchup anyone?

You have to imagine one of them sat on your plate, big black juicy spider, one leg still twitching - and then putting your fork through the middle of it.....
