Had three calls very similar, same number, same day each week,
last time I left it for a bit and then called back, The answer was something Homes how can I help. I said why do you keep ringing my number, she said we hav'nt rung any one, I replied to that some ones a bloody liar and it had better stop. Not had one in three weeks now.

Could be they realise they've dropped a clanger and don't answer the phone or unplug it, (you would still get the ringing tone) try again some other time. When I get calls I don't recognise on the caller display I answer Accrington Police Station, If its a hoax caller yu will hear them gasp, if its a friend yu will hear them laugh.

I did try calling back in case it was important as the number didn't seem to be one of those pointless ones but the phone just rang and rang and no reply so don't know there's much else I can do.

Yes that's what happened when I tried to ring back which doesn't make sense does it if they were trying to sell something you'd think they would be glad of somebody ringing them!

If a person rings from a call centre or an unknown phone number then on my phone display it just comes up with "----" so i dont answer it , however when my relatives ring from spain it comes pu with that aswell , so i have to be carefull! :)
