I was just sat here and I could hear a chime kind of music. At first, I thought it was coming from the Xbox that my son was playing on.

But it wasn't..........it was an Ice cream van.....parked right outside my house!!:eek::eek: ITs BLOODY FREEZING!! STUPIDO

When they begin to realise, just do what I used to do with mine. tell them that the chime is to let us know they have run out of Ice cream...works a treat. :D

Thats cruel - didnt you want a 99?

Saw one out on wednesday after work going round the estates and the kids were queuing up at it for their ice cream. It used to be you never saw them out and about till april. Mind you saw one between xmas and new year up here.....

Nothing quite like LYING to your off spring for your own ends.

What happened to parental control?

I know someone who took his kids to Fleetwood for the day and told them it was Blackpool because Fleetwood's cheaper. :D

I don't know how he explained the absence of the tower though, mind you, the kids were only very young at the time.

The weather was not going to deter a child in Asda on Thursday Willow.
Sat in the trolley by the frozen food section, he suddenly requests for an ice cream "Not now darling, going to have your tea soon" replies parents. Child responds to this "But I want one". Parents still slightly calm "Sorry, you can't have one". Then it starts rising to a great crescendo: "I WANT AN ICE CREAM, I WANT AN ICE CREAM" over and over and over. Of course, parents a little aggravated by now threatening with all types of parental control...

Heard him still screaming it three aisles away. Didn't know whether they gave in or not, was thinking of buying him one myself, except that I would not have shoved the cone in his 'gob' if you know what I mean.

Doubt whether this kid would have believed your chime story Slinky. :D

Kids are needed as future tax payers to pay out our pensions.
Just glad that I don't have to put up with them.
Though I must admit that there are some being fetched up as civilised humans

The most sinister thing about ice cream vans is that the song gets in your head. So you're wandering round an hour later humming it. I turn this into fun however by seeing how many members of my family I can get singing the ice cream van music.
