No but I am calling you a plagiariser or plagiarist if you like, which is even worse.

To quote just a few.

You have posted this piece of prose on this forum without an acknowledgment to the original author and thus implying that it was created by you and acknowledged as such by other members.

seems to me some of us age with grace and tolerance whilst others slip deeper and deeper into cynicism and cantankerousness

Pointing out that someone STOLE someone else’s written work and passed it off as their own isn’t being cynical or cantankerous. Try looking up the definitions.

So if you were the author of that piece you would be happy for dozens of other people claiming credit for it?

People should be honest enough to at least state that what they are posting is not their own work and/or acknowledge the author.

agree with ya there willow!, my brother was only 34 when he died, so complaining of being old is just silly, people should think themselves lucky they are still alive and enjoy what they have left;)

It was never my intention to pass this piece off as my own and if that is how it is perceived, then I apologise.I happen to agree ,however with everything that is written there. This particular post was sent to me in one of the many emails I receive, and I thought it worthy of inclusion here. It happened to have no source of the original writer, which is fairly common in emails. In fact I would hazard a guess that most people here would pass on emails to their friends without the knowledge of where the hell they came from originally. The fact that 6 other people that you have shown here also posted this piece without a reference to the original obviously makes them plagiarists too.I take exception to the strong use of the word "stole" in your posting here and advise that I am as honest as the next man.Permit me to add.....this is not the first time you have had a shot at me.....perhaps it,s because I live far away these days...

There was nowhere in the original post where TBS said that they were his own words...neither was there anything to say they weren't. Maybe Jambutty, you assumed he was passing them off as his own words...but I didn't, as I have had this same e-mail several times...and never ever has there been an attribution to any author.

its not like Tal was claiming credit for writing the 'Lords prayer 'or composing the " Ode to Joy" its a bit of internet fluff that has been floating around for awhile and he passed it on, belive it or not some people enjoy reading things like that and pass them on in the hope that they may bring a little ray of sunshine into someone elses miserable life.

I couldn’t find the original source either and yes nearly all the other listed posts were plagiarised. If I had been a member of those various forums my reaction would have been exactly the same and I would have posted accordingly.

You did not have permission to reproduce that piece of prose from the author nor did you acknowledge that it was not your own work. You can take all the umbrage that you like but there is only one word for such action.

If you lived next door to me I would still have made the post that I did.

So according to you any post cannot be attributed to the person making it on a forum under their user name?

Strange how you assume that I wrote the post pointing out the plagiarism because I didn’t state who actually made the aqccusation, yet when someone else does exactly the same you are trying to defend them.

A clear case of double standards.

Come on Margaret Pilkington – get real. You can’t have it both ways.:nono8:
