Accrington Web - Local election candidates etc

I dont like phone canvassing either. In fact i've never done it. I prefer knocking on peoples doors to speak to them. Mind you sometimes ive had it slammed in my face, other times i've been still there half an hour later... but you are face to face and if they are having problems then you can take details and pass them on to someone you know will help them. If they dont get back to them thats when the problems start. Dont know how many times i've took someones details and passed them on and they've started dealing with it but not got back to them - 3 weeks later im in town doing shopping or at the docs or at the library when ive been accosted why havent they got back to me ... well i dont bleeding well know - i'll get in touch and then they say the council staff should have been in touch with them ... so they chase it up and it turns out the council has been in touch with them but they didnt think nothing of it that wasnt someone getting back in touch with them - it was the council!!!
