Re: dropped in street
once my mother found a hand bag on the bus she had a look in to see if there was a address in. there was not but there was about two hundred pound in it, she gave it the driver of the bus he got her name and number.
a week later they rang her to say the hand bag had been claimed but no one rang or said thank you to her for handing it in. she said that's the last time i hand anything in.my mum is no longer with us but i have never for got that |

I would not expect to be rewarded either......but I would like to know that the property had reached its rightful owner...if the owner didn't have the courtesy to ring and say thanks then it doesn't lessen the pleasure of knowing that owner got their property back.

Re: dropped in street
Ah, just read in the Observer what Pam is on about:-
'A plastic money bag containg £1,000 was dropped in Tremellen Street, Accrington, by an Accrington businessman. The man believes the bundle of cash dropped out of a folder he was carrying as he was walking along the street at around 3.30 p.m on Tuesday. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact PC Mick Dewhurst at Accrington Police Station on 353749' Looks like someone may have pocketed it ! Ain't that near you Cashy ? ... :D Only joking. |
