Does any of you lot remember the old wives tale that was doing the rounds when Peter Britcliffe - ooops, sorry - Sutcliffe was on the prowl? Practically every woman in Accy swore that it happened to a friend of a friend of hers. With little variation, the story involved the friend waiting in the car for her husband to return, when an elderly lady appeared, opened the drivers seat and sat down. To cut the woeful tale short, the hubby then appeared at which point the old dear suddenly leaps out the car door and legs it down the road. The shocked couple then discover her hastily abandoned handbag, which contains the axe, clawhammer and six-inch nails.

Just remember that next time you're on ASDA carpark.
