I would love to know.....
I know if Jacks having a tantrum n i walk off pretending to leave him (usually i stand round a corner and watch him) LOADS of people suddenly panic when he calms down that he has been left or his lost....why did no-one think it was weird that this lad was walking on his own?
How did he get on TWO buses?

Thanks Em, does seem a bit strange that he travelled to Bolton and back.

i suppose the driver would just assume he was with someone else that was getting on the bus or the drivers didnt see him.....

The bus was probably returning to Blackburn anyway, and he just stayed on. Although I thought that bus drivers checked there buses on a regular basis. Still odd that the driver didnt notice him all that way!

Glad he's been found safe and well though.

Thats scary! It is easy to lose track of children when shopping, I have had the misfortune to do it twice in 19 years, they were quickly found, but it is worrying.

Aaah bless him, suppose wouldn't have happened if they brough conductors back (or inspectors like Royboy).

When I went to Blackpool the other weekend with Mez and the gang, we caught the tram and there were three conductors on it. They helped get people off the tram and were jovial and polite .. was impressed.

A driver has two mirrors for the internal view of his vehicle, one to see if the passengers are seated and there is no obstuction to his driving position (near view)....The second one is to view the whole length of the bus and all you can see from the second one is the heads of the seated passengers and the full length of the aisle.
It would be very easy for a driver to miss the child if he was sat down all the way..........he can't see his head therefore he can't see him.
