On an added note, I was chatting to a really friendly woman in a cafe today, and she said she well and truly respected me for being a law student, she said it was a very respectful job :p obviously they appreciate lawyers more in Lancaster.

Don't remember much of an outcry from the whiney British lefties when Mandelas ANC thugs were putting necklaces(burning tyres) around political opponents necks to spread their message .

It is barbaric, but a sight more effective than anything we have tried here. I believe that this country is heading for this kind of vigilante behaviour, because too little is being done by the government to stop the muggings etc here. I relied on the police to sort a serious matter once, when I had waited long enough and nothing happened, a mate and myself sorted it out in our way, noone got seriously hurt or killed, but it sure stopped the cretins. Maybe pouring the petrol on and threatening to light it would have been more appropriate! Light it if they catch them again.

2. I have always thought of Mandela as a terrorist, and when there was a thread about how he struggles to get into America, I thought rightly so. You don't just let convicted terrorists wander into a country like America do you :p WE might in England though :p

Highly achieved, successful and independent woman. Almost Thatcher except a bit more corrupt and just got her husband to be PM instead of actually being it herself :p I think Cherie is probably a Tory :p
