Re: chips shops
On the few occasions when I get fish and chips to take away, I always ask for a carton of peas. At least that way you get your full whack and it’s the same price. In fact if you order fish and chips twice, one carton of peas is enough for both meals.
The same goes for gravy. Rather than have them pour a bit of gravy over your pie and chips ask for a carton of gravy. |
Re: chips shops

Re: chips shops
When we were kids we used to rush into a chip a few minutes before it was due to close and breathlessly ask, “Have you any chips left?”
When we got the reply, “Yes! Just a few.” We would rush out even faster shouting, “Well you shouldn’t have made so many.” |
Re: chips shops

Re: chips shops
Cod n Chips to take away is already £4.60 at my local chippy (£3.50 for fish, £1.10 chips .. Another chippy charges £5.99 and I did see a sign outside a chipshop just down the road (Waterloo) that proudly boasted "fish n chips £8.99 eat in" !
