this is disgusting, there are people out there that would love to be able to have children but cant and may not be able to afford ivf and these people get 2 healthy children and throw them away like rubbish!!!

I hope these babies are given to a family that will appreciate the amazing gift that children are!

I remember when i was pregnant with ty, i knew all the way through that i was having a boy and i was speaking to an 'asian' friend of mine and he said how lucky i was to get a boy the first time... i said i didnt give a monkeys about that and i just hoped the baby was healthy!

It's well known that the Asians get rid of girls if they can because they want boys........not saying that all Asians do this but the majority do........the sad thing is that this is tolerated when it should be stopped. :(

There are always bad parents from whatever cultural background.
Is this any worse than the parent who had allowed a 10 year old to have 8 cans of larger, as discussed here last week?
At least thses babies will escape their parents right from birth and not have them inflicted upon them. Let us hope they get a good home.

It is seriously worrying that people so old can get IVF and shows that science does not have a conscience sufficient to be allowed the knowldege it has, think embryo bill and what can go wrong with that

The more advances science makes the more worrying it gets. The embryo bill if implemented correctly could possibly unearth some answers to the terrible diseaeses that haunt our society but I worry that sometimes the findings could and will be abused.

will social servises not step in and take the next child after all they are obv unfit parents if they can just abandon the babys like that for no other reason other than selfish ones

I cant believe that they have done something like this. They do not deserve to be parents. They have been unable to have children naturally and thanks to the aid of modern science have been so very lucky to have healthy twin girls, I know that these 2 girls will grow up in a special loving home but for them to be dumped in the way that they have been purely because of their sex is absolutely disgusting. They should be locked up for life for doing so. I cant say anymore or I will too end up banned

It really is disgusting, they should never have been given treatment in the first place if you were supposed to have children at that age you'd be able to conceive naturally, and then to discard the two little girls, beggars belief.

I totally agree with you Bernie, the thing is these people went to India because there is no way they would get the treatment in this country, not at that age, what really narks me is the fact that these so called "unwanted children" were dumped in this country, if doctors in India are prepared to do these things then the same doctors should be responcible for the end product, but the real victims in this ae the poor kids who didn't ask to be born and were dumped on the whim of self centred people who couldn't care less and are prepared to do th same again, the selfish b******:mad:

They should be thanking their lucky stars they had two healthy children.
Some people are not lucky enough to have one and many people cannot afford IVF so to me this beggars belief and they should not be allowed to try again in the hope they have a boy.

Nevermind, soon we will be able to genetically engineer our own choice of baby and we wont have to dump them. I want boys too. I wonder if I should wait for science to advance, or just dump the girls.

You find out the sex of a baby at 20 weeks dont you? Maybe I could just abort the girls, that'd be quicker than going full term.

Thats strange, everyone I know seems to find out the sex at the 20wk scan, which included my younger brother and sister. Unless of course it isn't entirely clear, for instances like the umbilical cord being between the legs on the scan and such.

nope not everyone - they may have been witheld

sometimes on the day itself the position of the babies makes it hard to tell too

its to stop abortions based soley on the sex of the child

Well I've never come across that before :confused: maybe the hospital just discriminate against those who they think might do it, but I've never known a hospital to not reveal that information, and I've got 3 friends pregnant at the mo, 2 of which found out the sex of their babies at the scan and one who has been told she will find out at hers which is in a few weeks.

it was sensationalist tabloid journalism that the mail love to publish to dupe naive readers into thinking this is what the asian folks did.

i guess they know the hospital wont release their names and there's a chance the asian couple wont come out publicly for whatever reason so they think yeah we can publish tripe like this and ppl will go for it.

LOL, I laughed out loud at this. Two of them got pregnant willingly and are in stable relationships, both paying for their own homes, 1 renting, 1 has a mortgage , the other, well she made a mistake but so what.
