As you are talking about the sun and liverpool did anyone watch alexi sayle's liverpool on friday night on bbc 2? He got a pile of sun newspapers and a newsagent and tried to give them away for free ..... it ended up the newsagent setting fire to them out on the street outside his shop!!! Its still on iplayer if you missed it.

Also Polish people do learn english before they come over here ... my cousins wife is living out there at the minute and for the last 4 years has been teaching english to polish people.

Sorry Shillelagh but that is just not true, there must be 25 Polish people that I come into contact daily and only 3 or 4 speak English and have to translate for the others.

I have come across some Polish lads on building sites..(don't get a sweat on Rindy)..there was one bloke who stood out as the leader but he didn't speak a word of English.
Simple words like "stop" .."watch out" and things.. he was sacked because of health and safety rules.. the man was devastated, he came for day's to get his job back.
