Today's dumb cooking question
On a similar theme to the greaseproof paper question - which side of the tin foil should you put closest to the food - the shiny side or the dull side?
|
Re: Today's dumb cooking question
Never noticed it was different
Then again I've never used it, just seen it wrapped around meat in the kitchen :D |
Re: Today's dumb cooking question

Re: Today's dumb cooking question
actually, thinking about it, i only use tim foil to bake spuds and the shiniest bit is always on the outside.....but i think thats only cos thats how it comes off the roll......
unroll some on your surface, put your food on and then cut to fit....... makes sense! |
Re: Today's dumb cooking question
I always line my grill tray with tin foil - makes it easier to clean, and I put it shiny side up as I thought it reflected the heat better.
