I think the threads which had those topics in might have started off about something else and just wandered - which isn't unusual.

I seem to remember stories in the press about Christmas being banned but they then turn out to be a gross exaggeration with somebody having picked up the wrong end of a particular stick and run with it without finding out the full story - but hey why should a newspaper let something as trivial as the truth get in the way of a sensational headline?

Well there have been numerous storeys about things being stopped or names being changed so as not to offend muslims, the thing is that muslims have never complained its the faccist left dogooding Guardianist that stick their noses in where they're not wanted

Dunno ... I do seem to remember one about a Christmas tree at one of your local high schools.

Yes I remember that but did any Muslim pupils or parents actually object to the tree or was it objected to 'on their behalf'?

I once raised a few eye-brows when I worked for a Jewish owned company , and asked the receptionist during the 'mid-winter holiday season' where all the 'baby Jesus' cards were, lots of Hanukah, Kwanza and 'Happy Holiday' cards on display, ....sheepishly she told me she was afraid of putting them up incase anyone got upset .........just another example Political Correctness/brain washing and White guilt . :eek: :eek:

That was not rare in the days before the smoke control act, circa 1961
Most outdoor things got a layer of soot - just look at local stone buildings that haven't been sandblasted.
