I love cats, Thats awfull! :(

It would be interesting to see what kind of action the police take if/when they catch them!

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

I also love cats but cant have one because unfortunately my dog doesnt doesnt like them as much as I do lol. He scowls at them at every opportunity!!
The person who is shooting these cats is deplorable! If they are found they should be reported to the RSPCA as well as the police, because if the police dont do anything then the RSPCA will! Perhaps they could be asked to try to comfort an animal that has been shot to see the pain and suffering they have caused. Although I do realise that in some cases this wouldnt bother them at all!

people who harm animals are inadequate, and very rarely get caught sadly, cos they aint the guts to harm anything that can "shop" them.:(

not true, i shot a chav going past on a motor bike last night. Or is that acceptable?

You had better retract that statement and use your excuse as a warped sense of humour emanating from a warped mind

I like all animals, especialy cats and dogs, anyone who harms animals is the lowest form of life, but if this type of scum are caught do they every get their justs, don't think so. But what do we really expect when people who murder other humans don't get what they deserve, so there's no chance for klling animals, just a rap on the knuckles and a pat on the head:(

So shooting chavs isnt acceptable then?

yeah, was Danny
btw, why was that tiny kitten outside anyway?

danny27 06-08-2008 10:11

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

yeah it was me. And i will keep shooting cats that come onto my property and use my yard as a toilet, and also they have ripped my bin bags open. So if it means a cat gets a bb in the ass as apposed to vermin coming into my house OR my kids going blind when they fall in cat poo, then my conscience is clear thank you.

And i shot the chav cos he was on one of the NOISY motor bikes just REVVING the engines, AFTER i'd just got my kids to sleep.

Im not a bad person really, just my kids come first before any dirty cats or chavs.

In think its disgusting that someone would do this, I hope you've reported it to the police and RSPCA, dont know what they can do but in my opinion its only a matter of time till they turn their gun on a child.

danny27 06-08-2008 10:20

Sorry but i would never shoot a child. I can justify my actions simply because i want to protect my home and my family from vermin and disease.

Police Campaigns
extract-

Imitation Guns including BB Guns

Since April 2004 it has been illegal to carry an imitation gun in public and police have been making the consequences clear.

Even trained police officers have great difficulty distinguishing these guns from actual firearms and have to act as if they are real. There is a real risk of an offender being shot by armed response officers who are unable to establish the exact nature of the weapon. The fear felt by members of the public on being confronted with an imitation gun can be just as great. Valuable time and resources are being used up when armed response teams have to be sent to incidents involving fake guns.

Forces around the country have been issuing warnings about the dangers of carrying imitation guns in public and asked parents not to give children guns as presents at Christmas. Some did this through press releases and articles in local newspapers, some have taken their message a step further and initiated poster campaigns and written to parents and carers. Derbyshire Police were among the first to do so in 2003, followed by Bedfordshire Police in 2004. Gun Control Network fully supports these high profile campaigns.

Greater Manchester Police

March 2008

Police are urging imitation gun and airgun owners to hand them in at a police station during March. Greater Manchester Police and Trading Standards will also be targeting dealers illegally selling realistic imitation firearms and air weapons (Rochdale Online, 28 February 2008).

God, you lot take me WAY too seriously. I love animals, im just getting tired of those buggers messing up my garden and potentially spreadng vermin and disease.

AND I AM VERY DISGUSTED THAT SOMEBODY MURDERED A CAT, THAT IS JUST EVIL!!!

accyman 06-08-2008 10:50

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

i personaly see cats as vermin and consider them a pet for the lazy people who cant be bothered taking a pet for a walk etc , if you dont like taking a pet for a walk buy a fish and yes i do agree that there droppings are dangerous to childrens sight and also agree that people shoudlnt have to put up with other peoples pets foweling their gardens and yards etc

but:

this guy is going out hunting them down which is totaly different from protecting his property

i posted this up for a friend who knows my opinions on cats but even though i dislike them and think of them more as vermin than pets to some people these cats will be missed and i also wouldnt be surprised if he starts shooting at children

bb guns are weak and totaly different than an air rifle , although only a lead pellet and no where near a spowerfull as a real gun an air rifle can also kill and god help any child that walks infront of this guys sights at the wrong time and gets hit in teh head either on purpous or by accident

as for shooting at the chavs on moped things i can understand somone shooting the sods especialy with having to put up with their noise on a regular basis, but rather than shoot them they should have silencers or mufflers fitted by law

danny27 06-08-2008 10:57

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

ok, let me clear this up once and for all.
The gun i have fires not lead, it fires little plastic bb's...not metal.
I do NOT go out hunting cats, i just scare the buggers when they come into the garden.
I have targets scattered around the garden and when i shoot AT them, i purposely miss so that the TARGET makes a loud sound which the cat DOES not like...infact they run a mile.
And nooooo, im not posting to incite anything, im just discussing methods i use to rid my garden from vermin and cats.

I thank you.

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

Accyman, you are entitled to you opinion about cats, but I'm sure that you, as a sensible person, would use normal, safe deterants in your garden that you can get from supermarkets and garden centres. Not shoot at them with any type of gun.
Regarding young lads/girls who cause trouble with motorbikes or mopeds, just take photos, take numbers of bikes and contact the police.
And DANNY... why do you have binbags? dont you have a bin? Put your rubbins in a bin, your encouraging mice and rats into your garden if you dont dispose of your rubbish properly.

Having a BB gun in the house and letting your kids see you use it is foolhardy.
If you insist on keeping it, lock it away where they can't find it

danny27 06-08-2008 11:06

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

ok, 1) my bin got stolen AGES ago and our "excellent" council have yet to provide us with another. So its either they're outside...or in the house stinking.

And margaret...i do not like your patronising tone. I dont have the bb gun anywhere near where the children can reach it, im not stupid. Its way hiiiigh up in a cupboard which is even out of reach from my gf who is 5ft 7. And, failing that there is a saftey catch...AND...it isnt loaded when not in use.

So please dont think im one of these irresponsible lunatics that dont have any common sense whatsoever.

If you have a problem with cats, why not just use an empty washing up liquid bottle, fill it with water and squirt the cats when they come into your garden, cats hate water and it won't take them long to learn to give your garden a wide birth, but using a BB gun can get you into trouble, if it hasn't already done so, these sites are moniered

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

lol

Anyway, im gonna shut up about the whole subject because it seems i aint gonna get any good karma points if i behave in such a manner.
In closing, i have a better solution which will please everybody..even the cats.

LET THEM, poo in my garden. thats fine. But i know who's cat belongs to who on my street so instead of punishing the cat, i will do so to the owner.
How, you ask??? Well, thats simple.
I simply scoop the mess from my garden...march down the street...and simply tip it into the owners garden ( even if they have a patio ). And if this carrys on and they continue to use my garden, the poo will go through their letter box.

NOW STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT HIPPIES!!!

Cats in Church must be slow 'at toilet' - he has time to take the BB gun out of its safe place, load it up, take off the safety catch, go outside and fire it.
Most cats would have been and gone in that time

I have cats......they use litter trays.......I also have a dog too.
Cats are ideal pets for people who cannot get about that easily.....pensioners, people with limited mobility and also for those folk who are out at work all day, but want a pet.

There is no justification for shooting at cats with BB guns, whether you mean to hit them or not......As Margaret says there are other kinder ways to stop cats fouling your back yard/garden......citrus peel scattered around will stop cats as they hate the scent of it......they don't much care for lavender either........a water pistol is good for making it clear that they are not welcome.

I hope the person whose cat was shot reports it to the police......after all the Community office is only on Pickup Street......and if you know the identity of this person you would be doing a favour to all the other cat owners in our locality, by reporting him to both the police and the RSPCA.

Do you know, it's funny like, but I have been looking out for the three cats that pass through my garden on a regular basis to take a piccie for the photograph competition. Haven't seen them for about 2 weeks, whether this is just a coincidence or not, no idea.

As for BB guns, my son used to have one ... only official type targets you understand, 'til one day one of the lads appeared to have aimed it at a window frame in a bedroom. Needless to say they were never seen again ..
Took a fair chunk out though !

I wonder who it was who deducted reps from me saying that there was no need for me to be rude but without leaving a name?

Well, don't suppose I would approve (even though had cats myself), never seen them do anything, they just carry on to the lodge banking, except the black and white Tom which insists on peeing on one of me bushes (Accyman ... shut up !!) LOL.

Don't know who the owners are though, so can't make enquiries. Hope they are OK though.

Re: cat assassin in clayton area

we have a greyish coloured one that sleeps in my front garden, which is cute. Thats fine...its just when they start tearing my binbags and crapping in my garden is when i put my foot down.

Cat owners baffle me. They toilet train their cats not to crap in the house, they even buy a litter tray. What do they felines do...go and crap in someone elses garden.
Now, if you own a cat ask yourself...WOULD YOU like it if your cat was fouling your own garden/house?

No, i dont think so.
But let me make it perfectly clear...i do NOT shoot cats, i just scare them.

We have a similar thing going on in Kingston's west end .... that's the burb area of town ... someone is cutting cats to pieces and leaving the pieces for the owner to find ... pretty brutal stuff. There have also been Fisher's in the area ... they are killing cats too; but most of the dead cats have been killed by a human .... or a poor excuse for a human.

This is marvellous news! The only good cat is a dead cat. I'd certainly buy whoever is doing this a pint or even two!

No. That is a pathetic reply. Please keep your filthy beasts indoors or otherwise expect the worse for them as they deposit their stinking urine and their foul faeces on other people's gardens and doorsteps.

Anyone who, for whatever reason, contemplates and enjoys the thought of inflicting pain on any animal is not fit to be called human. You should be ashamed.

There is a big difference between "not liking" and wishing dead. I don't much like cat haters but I wouldn't kill one.

According to some of the posts on AccyWeb there is no shortage of humans who will take a whizz or a dump on people's property and do the technicolor yawn all over the flowers.

Think a post like this has really shown some 'people' up for what theyre really like. And they call cats and rats vermin....

I dislike a number of things/people. Doesnt mean I go about shooting 'em.

I'm sure the person that asked for the post to be made will love the sympathy and compassion shown as well. Congratulations, sure you just made someones bad day a hell of a lot worse. Lets hope their kids (or any others for that matter) don't read this 'family forum' posting eh?

Well said onlyme, I have read some of the posts on this thread with what only be described as astonishment. I am not a cat person but if I was having problems with them using my garden as a loo I would use the more humane methods of deterring.

This is so worrying and cant help wonder if this has something to do with my cat going missing. It is a very strange coincidence - she went missing a month ago and was so loyal - she stayed with us all the time andnever wandering far. I’m really botherd that something like this could have happened to her.

I know that this may sound a gruesome thing to have to do.
If you have a regular street sweeper (brush and trolley man) in your area, you can ask him if he has found one in the last month.
I have seen a dead cat in the gutter collected this way.

I found one at the bottom of Belfield couple of months ago, if you ring the council refuse dept they may keep a record of calls.

I'm all for freedom of speech but can't believe some of the deplorable comments i've read on here.
