Reminds me of the little shop at the top of Queen St. in Clayton .... I remember when you couldn't buy candy without a sugar coupon!:eek:

I think that most people of our age group Eric can remember a little corner shop like the on you mentioned. I remember there was on such shop on the corner of Hartley St and Albert Street in Ossy, can't remember what the people were called who had it, but I can still picture the old dear behind the counter. Sadly the shop closed many moons ago, in fact the shop is no longer there now, there is just a wide open space when Hartley Street and one side of Hodgen Street was demolished years ago

You know, chocolate, humbugs, jaw breakers (a.k.a. gob stoppers) .... all those bad-for-you things that kids love .... maybe sweets, or toffees .... whatever, we have the same junk over here. and, as you probably know, we call it candy. The only differnce is probably that we pay a lot less for it, like we do for most stuff;):p
