Surely if it's a euro legislation, there will be people in the reverse situation. I E, Brits who can claim from other countries?

it works different out there (did when i lived oer yon) ya work n if ya pay social security, many dont, so they get sod all. if ya pay it n its quite expensive, ya have to have paid it fer a certain amount of time, forget how long, before ya even get a bean in spain, so many of these here would be buggared for even claiming.:)

I saw news clip on Tv a while back, which reported that many expats were moving out of their villas in the Spanish countryside into small flats in towns, because they had been persistently targeted by gangs of Albanian burglars who had no other means of support.

That's what happens - hungry people do desperate criminal acts in order to eat
