Nothing surprises me any more

Nothing surprises me any more, its not long ago that the Poles were coming her in their drove to find work, now that every things gone belly up they're leaving an going back to Poland. All well and good you may think, well, no not really. It appears that under European Legislation, if they have been working here, we have to pay their unemployment benefits, and no doubt we'll still be paying their child benefits too, somebody once said that the streets of this country are paved with gold, makes you wonder don't it:mad:

I used to say that 'nothing surprises me any more', but then I found a packet of Polo Mints in my Winter coat pocket, which surprised me quite a bit.

It's a funny old world.

so has the rule changed if you leave a job of your own accord, or get fired you are not eligible for unemployment benefit for 6 month, or does that only apply to us brits.......(A good few years since I worked so I could be totally off the mark)

And that is why it keeps happening because we have got complacent. If they are claiming JSA thay are supposed to be available for work, beats me how that can be true if they are living in Poland!!! This damn country is a laughing stock:mad:
