To be honest I havent yet, but saying that, wouldnt move anything out of the cupboard til I knew the coast was clear

I know they have been moving about under the floorboards though, have heard them recently

The trouble is they breed very fast and just 1 pregnant mouse can mean you have dozens within weeks. Traps will deal with the ones that venture near them but they may not deal with the whole problem. It might be worth getting your council's Environmental Health dept. in to clear them all out.

The council will lay down poison bait which isn't good news where there are toddlers about.
I recommend a plug in repeller. If you have a 2 storey house you are likely to have 2 electric ring mains, so will need one plugged in on each floor.

Councils are not stupid. If they lay down poison it will be under floorboards, behind skirting boards and in inaccessible places. Do you really think they would risk being prosecuted for causing death by poisoning?

I had to get the local council in when we had an infestation, 30 years ago. I had a toddler and 2 older children and there was no way they could have accessed the bait. The infestation was cleared within 2 weeks.
