Re: Sleep?
As little as possible - in the winter I probably get about 7hrs, in the summer much, much less.
I often don't sleep all the way through the night and spend most of the time 'resting' rather than sleeping - i.e. brains working but body resting. |

please stop making me laugh when I am mending these GHD's, its delicate work :D

Re: Sleep?
I need no more than 7 hours but can function fine off 3-4 for a few days. I also don't mind disjointed sleep too much.
e.g. saturady gone I worked 5:30am - 11ish, went to bed, up at 2 for 20 mins for another job, back to bed, up at 4 for another 20 mins, up at 6:30, workinga t 7 - 10ish then a normal day. Last night, in from Pool at ~11, stayed up till 11:45ish, alarm went off at 5:20, out of bed by about 5:45. oncall at work can be very disjointed and sometimes even 36 hours without any real sleep. |
Re: Sleep?
Sleep is a nightmare for me.:D
A combination of the drugs I take, and Parkinson's itself, means I sometimes don't sleep at all for up to 72 hours. The best thing about it though is that when I do sleep I have amazingly real dreams. Even the dream I had about myself and Lily, an Accy Webber I've never met, was exciting, because the shoe designing business we had in Italy meant we were flying to trade shows all over the world, including South Africa, and South America. I'll stop rambling now, incase I send anyone to sleep.:D |
Re: Sleep?
are the dreams always pleasant?

Re: Sleep?
I have trouble sleeping because I have no set routine for anything. I suppose I sleep about 4 - 5 hours a night, and perhaps spend two hours a day in limbo. Neither thinking or sleeping.
I really should get myself sorted. I have been the same for years. Even when I was working I used to only sleep for about 6 hours a night and always wanted more. Lynne x |

Have you got children? If so, how did you cope when they were babies and awake half the night? I usually manage fine with about 6 hours. |

Re: Sleep?
I find sleep to be a changing state of affairs, some weeks I seem to need as much as 15 hours on occasion this seems to coincide with periods of minimum activity.
However if I have some form of project in mind, (I was going to say in hand but the innuendos would have been rife!), I find I can go with very little sleep in fact at such times a couple of hours just resting as Gayle said will be sufficient. http://planetsmilies.net/obscene-smiley-1019.gif Before you ask no! It's the latest style of water bed very relaxing. |
