applied for a job this aft for a recruitment consultant
applied through an agency which has already accepted my c.v.
my details were sent from one agency to another
the second agency sent me an e-mail saying certain information was not included in my c.v. and unless i sent a new c.v. direct to them including the said none existant info my application would be binned.
I replied saying the relevant info was included under the relevant section
in the center of page 1 and the consultant should re-read the c.v.
to which he replied that I had a bad attitude which he would not tolerate
goodbye, game over, sod off

Perhaps there was no missing information.

Perhaps it was a test of your customer service skills, to see how you'd handle an awkward client.

:D

Could be a good move career wise if you fit the criteria and get enough points. As for convincing your wife will leave that up to you:)

one license covers all the only differences are a minibus is a seperate license to a full psv and there is either an auto or manual license

When I first took a PSV it was on a coach with Robbisons. That allowed me to drive single deck vehicles only.
I took my Double Deck licence at Ribble in Blackburn. That covered both double and single deck.

There was no distinction between gearboxes, crash, manual, preselect or Auto.
You were required to drive them all.

The way to treat the agency is as you would the potential employer. At the end of the day, if you were to start work under the banner of the agency, they need to feel comfortable in you doing so, as you are representing them.

I would never tell a new or potential boss that he hadnt done his job right. And to be honest, if you feel that employment agencies arent a good idea, applying for a job with one of them is probably not a good idea

I'm afraid this post baffles me. If somebody is supplying a company with a service, which is what recruitment agencies do, then why are they at fault ? Surely the fault lies with the employers who can't be bothered or think their time is better spent using the recruitment agencies ?

Well i have just spoken to him and he says that he passed in a doubledecker, BUT it doesnt matter if you pass in a single decker you can still drive ANY.
The only difference is that if you pass in a manual you can drive any bus, but if you learn in a automatic you can only drive in a automatic!

He has a :-
D
D1
D+E licence so he can drive any, but if you only have a D licence then you can only drive a minibus;)

hope this is clear :D

So Jedimaster is right...sorry royboy:(

I did say when I passed my test...That was in 1961. My original Badge No was CC 72425. which was covered by a full PSV Licence after two tests, one for a single deck and one for a double deck.

Times do change, we only one or two mickey mouse buses then.

In 1987 I retook my Double deck PSV as my orignal had lapsed, I got a badge with a different No. I understand drivers don't get badges these days?. :)
