Haha, have you got a link to that Emma?

sorry, read in a paper in a cafe yesterday, not sure which :(

Re: on the subject of lying...

Ha! Well, they would drop her in it, wouldn't they?

Kids that age just tell it how it is and she was a fool to expect anything else.

Mind you, she must be a fool to claim benefits whilst working.

Silly woman. :(

you are allowed to do a certain amount before you declare it, you can earn £20 i think it is. I did an hour or so of cleaning here and there for a while before i was pregnant that i didnt need to declare ( i know that because i asked my lone parent advisor just in case)

Its not worth the risk of getting caught and prosecuted over a few quid

It's only pot and kettle, if this vast crowd of accywebbers have posted on here against such actions.

I notice though the no tolerance brigade have yet again lumped the genuine receivers of benefits in with the ones that pretend to be ill so that they don't have to work, hardly a fair bit of thinking is it?

Are sheep allowed to claim benefits and work?

Damn these sheep taking the work away from our Polish brethren!

Well you can not blame the little ones for saying that thats what comes out when they are at that age.

Re: on the subject of lying...

I think there is a big difference between someone who claims benefits and works cash in hand 40 hours a week compared to someone who does the old job for £20 for someone. Same thing goes for someone doing the odd job and not declaring it to the tax man if they are working.

At a place I used to work a lad got sacked for being off on the sick while working for someone else plastering a house. Turns out is was the General Manager from works house :D:D.

I dont think shes being naughty at all .
All flashy has done is point out that she knows of cerain folk who claim benefits whilst working and they just happen to be members on here, In no way has she mentioned any names and TBH i doubt she would.
In all fairness Jaysay there is a lot of the glass house syndrome on accyweb. but I would imagine its like that on most disscusion forums.

I take exception to that flashy, I'm nobodies puppet never have been never will be, but like you I have an opinion and have the rite to air it, which I do, on a regular basis

This is the link to the story;

Bolton mum exposed as benefits cheat by her children (From This Is Lancashire)

Also noticed on Burnley council's website that they actually prosecudted somebody for claiming £94.95 too much in benefits, now thats what you call a quick spot. :D

Maybe they now employ more benefit cheat inspectors or they are getting better at their jobs. :)
