I like UK ltd, and this is the best explanation so far.:D

Looking at this 95% would fill it in without question, so why cant the few who do not wish to partisipate be allowed that choice/freedom? after all it cant make that much of a difference.

'Cause 5% of approx 70 million is 3.5 million ... quite a large portion of people. Besides, if were given a choice ... lots of people would just 'not be arsed' to fill it in.

Don't think Mr D was winding us up Roy, looking at his questions so far.

but its only stats, that can change especially within a 10 year period.

I mean all the dodgy people in this country wont even think twice about filling this form in, what will happen to them, probably nothing.

Re: 2011 Census

We know the stats can change in a ten-year period hence there will be another census in 2021. It is a snapshot of life in the UK at a certain point in time.
I for one have different circumstances since the last one. I'm married now to a different woman than whom I was living with last time. My two children then are now three and my new wife brought four with her. I live in a different house. My employment has changed.
All this and other information can identify trends by which the Government can set out it's strategies for the future. If you've nothing to hide or worry about then why object to giving the Government info you've probably given to your local Blockbuster?

Like I said earlier the forms are delivered to an address NOT a person. They are also collected from that address iirc. Who is to say that people could fill the form with utter drivel? No-one. It may transpire that the population of our fair isle is 275 and a nun. :D

< no offence intended to nuns :D >
