...and if you were in America getting a smear test would cost you between $25 to £40 dollars. Would you have even considered asking for one?

Well you tell me, is the risk of the possibility of cancer worth $40?

I actually would, but then i've been in quite a worrying situation so I would think my health is well worth that small amount of money.

I'm actually against the NHS and thought I'd make that quite clear, so it was a bit of a silly question to ask in my opinion.

I don't agree on the capitalising on health care in the first place anyway. The health and pharmaceuticals professions churn in and out too much money in the first place.

so you would go back to a time before the nhs ... when you paid for everything ... no matter what ...

how much would it cost if you got knocked down and broke your leg and arm .. maybe needed an operation on your leg ... could you afford that ....

Just out of interest what does capitalising of health care mean.

I don't have the exact numbers but the Conservatives have come in front in Hyndburn by about 1000 votes.

Figures for Hyndburn (for the Euro elections) as per LET are - Hyndburn result: Conservatives 6037 Labour 5020 UKIP 3906 BNP 2731 Lib 1285.

Just hope that there are not enough votes for the BNP in the rest of the North West, but it is very frightening that 2731 people in Hyndburn voted for the BNP

Was the turnout the same as the county elections?

yeah until you need medical attention or will it be a private ambulance that takes you to hospital lol

wether or not your with bupa if you have an accident its gonna be a NHS ambulance that carts you off to hospital and NHS nurses and doctors that stop your internal bleeding etc

or you could get a taxi to your nearest private hospital between the hours of 9am and 5pm and pray it isnt a golf day for the doctor :D

from this news story , I think I would maybe prefer a private non-unionized (non-clock watching) ambulance service if this is typical of the service the NHS provides , God help you all if there is a national emergancy and there is no-one around to sign the overtime chits
BBC NEWS | UK | England | Tees | Man died after ambulance detour
