I don't think he was to keen on the idea of Hyndburn

Lol, who was it?

Even though I was young I do remember quite a few, as my great uncle, who I was very close to, was on that council.

I didn't.

Being only seven at the time I was sat in my primary school, in a class full of crying children, devastated because Thatcher, Thatcher the nasty milk snatcher had flown through on her broomstick.

If I'd still been at school we have been bloody cheering, never touched the stuff, warm milk ugggggggggggggggg

I do remember my beloved great uncle, Cllr. Joe Aspinall, wasn't at all keen on the idea.

He did have stong political and republican convictions, which were evident when he got into trouble for not standing up for God Save the Queen, when forced to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

An action I aped myself, many years later.

:D
