And I would put it to you again, find me one Labour politician anywhere who has suggested cutting foreign aid.

I know at least one who does but it isn't for me to speak on their behalf - that is a surefire way of getting in trouble with the party!

Another rebel?...don't think that'd wash with Harriet and the gang. I reckon they'll be sending Diane Abbott round to give you and your colleague a few lessons in progressive socialism.

Tell you what though, Ken, your views are certainly going down well with some people - I've just noticed that your karma count is actually higher that your post count! How did you manage that?

Let's remind ourselves of the members of Peter's Army who have graced the forums...

Well, Nick Whittaker has joined the throng (under two names, so it appears) and we've had Cllr Peter Britcliffe, Leader of the Council under a nom de plume....and that's it, I think.

Wouldn't it be lovely if more of them did step into the line of fire? It would balance out some of the rather one-sided debates.

Anyway, until that day you're stuck with me, Bernard, Joan, Clare and Graham unobstructedly ripping Cllr Britcliffe's policies to pieces.....it's not difficult.

Now steady on, young John. That implies drug abuse.

On the subject of flack, wheres Andrewb and Turkish Delight to defend the poor helpless Tories?

Been remarkably quiet of late, or has the interweb not reached London?
