We need to make those improvements now each & every one of us, we can all in our own way contribute, so what's stopping you ?

I have things on my P C that I sometimes find that appal me, Ian Brady complaining that he gets half of his allowance (spending money) while others get all of it, Ian Brady in a secure hospital gets £50.00 a week to spend. Compare that with what a carer gets to live on, less than £55.00 quid a week and some carers sleep for 2 hours before they have to wake up to move the one they love to avoid bedsores, does Brady? Does Brady wash bed clothing three time on Christmas day and have to wash pillows and an eiderdown in the bath the same day, I had to.

Some carers have to decide on paying for heat or food, does Brady?

Some hospitals spend £1.00 a day on patients food and prisons spend £3.00 a day.

Is it not time that the do gooders where put against a wall and shot and Britain returned to good fair standards where decent people are treated with respect?

Probably people are too afraid of doing anything, incase they're labeled 'do gooders', and someone like you comes along and shoots them.

May I ask, without getting some form of outburst, what's stopping you?

If you have a solution, live by it, demonstrate to all the wicked one's how it can be done, without proper examples of which way to turn lost sheep will remain lost.

Let us know how you are making the world better, any of us, in any thread can complain, show us the way towards the light.

Hmm, a poor example really Brady isn't anything to do with carers, you are mixing justice as meted out back then, with circumstances I suspect you are struggling with, unfortunately they are not the same.

You would not do to your loved one what most of us would like to do to Brady no matter how you are struggling.

So please don't confuse yourself and others by comparing the hardship you and yours are going through with the unjust way he is living.

Is it not time we as a society stopped threatening do-gooders with violence?
Isn't it time we all looked at society and said, "Well, if a horrific prisoner can be treated in a humane manner, can we not also treat the innocent of circumstances in a similar way?

P.S. Isn't it time you changed your signature?:)

Sorry some confusion here, the quote "what's stopping you ?" Is part of a sentence which has not been taken in full & belongs to a more encompassing paragraph. For the full context please see my post #30.

Webglynne has taken this statement into his comment & as such, presents said comment in the wrong light hence I believe the misunderstanding in the ensuing posts. A schoolboy error it would seem & I am partially to blame. Sorry everyone :o

Re: Sick and fed up!

This is about how society looks after its citizens, someone like Brady can have £100.00 a week to spend, a prisoner on release can get £10.00 a day spending money, decent honest people are not looked after in the same way. How many working people can spend on themselves £100. 00 a week? Not on rent, not on heating, not on food, not on clothes!

It does sound quite tempting.

I'm genuinely considering knocking a Bobby's helmet off, pleading guilty on grounds of insanity, and will then enjoy a lovely holiday...with spends to boot.

Yes he quoted it without using the 'quote' facility, perhaps he needs assistance, all he has to do is ask nicely and I'm sure many will tell him what to do.

Not your confusion at all.
:)

The following was the point that I was making, sorry that I did not delete more from your post but it did get us more snide from less.

{What is required is a return to, standards of decency, honesty & fairness to all**

[Is it not time we as a society stopped threatening do-gooders with violence?
Isn't it time we all looked at society and said, "Well, if a horrific prisoner can be treated in a humane manner, can we not also treat the innocent of circumstances in a similar way?

P.S. Isn't it time you changed your signature? ]

Less should it not be the aim of society to treat all in a humane manner and not just horrific prisoners?

No need to apologise, what's posted is posted & folk may pick & choose the bits they want / require to make their point, I have no issue with this unless some one deliberately twists the comments to provoke a different intent / meaning.

As to Less, I think you may have upset him at some point in some way, with a comment or other. I'd advise a little more caution when you post something on here. Sometimes peoples emotions over run their typing & thinking process & we may on occasion make a comment we later regret.

A proof read before you post & then again just after you've posted is usually sufficient (I think you've got 10 mins to edit) to pick up on anything that could fan the flames of resentment & lead to disharmony. There will be heated threads, but that is all they should be ! when it's done you should be able to PM your antagonists afterwards, congratulate or commiserate on a well argued case & there is an end of it, no grudges.

Also as some one new you'll always be singled out because no one knows you & are trying to find out what you're like. Just don't take it to heart. :)

Less, I don't understand how the selective quote thing works either :o it's usually all or nothing & I've been on here a couple of Months, usually Neil's pretty good & boxes the things off, but of late .......Weeeelll I think he's been slacking off  :D

So if you don't mind ? a short lecture on how please, thanks .

So, British "good fair standards" somehow involves the summary execution of people whose views you disagree with:confused::rolleyes: This one needs some serious re-thinking.
