Young Ken was enjoying St George's Day in the local pubs and it was superb, I've never seen so much national pride on display in Rishton before.

Hope everyone else had as good a time as I did.

Two men on opposite sides of the Great Divide enjoying tea? TOGETHER?

Is there room for another open mind in the Hyndburn Council chamber?

Happy St George's Day everyone.

The Bride and I shall be raising a few glasses in the fine village of Rishton later today and celebrating living in England. It may have its fair share of problems but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Patriotic best wishes to one and all!

As it is at Rishton Towers and even the Cooper.

Each year sees more and more flags around the county, let alone the village.

Any other ale drinkers on Accyweb?

Ahhh. Ale:alright: Molson "Export", or Molson "Stock Ale":dancedog: Good Canadian stuff.

And for St. George's Day: lotsa ale, and moose stew, with carrots, celery, 'shrooms;), shallots, (from the Lady of Shallot:rolleyes:), turnip, and Yukon gold spuds. And Ale. And, just for today, the Cross of St. George is flying from my flagpole (the Maple Leaf goes back tomorrow). I know, apart from the flag, it's not very English. But, I did hoist an ale for the Queen on her birthday.

There's a cherry blossom in full flower in the small garden in front of Ossy Library, the only trouble is when the flowers drop they don't half make a mess
