Re: St George's Day
Happy St George's Day everyone.
The Bride and I shall be raising a few glasses in the fine village of Rishton later today and celebrating living in England. It may have its fair share of problems but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Patriotic best wishes to one and all! |

And for St. George's Day: lotsa ale, and moose stew, with carrots, celery, 'shrooms;), shallots, (from the Lady of Shallot:rolleyes:), turnip, and Yukon gold spuds. And Ale. And, just for today, the Cross of St. George is flying from my flagpole (the Maple Leaf goes back tomorrow). I know, apart from the flag, it's not very English. But, I did hoist an ale for the Queen on her birthday. |
