Re: Voting

well congratulations to graham jones,a well deserved victory. on the national scale its what i expected.:( whats really amusing to me is the "Lib Dems" seem to now have less seats, despite "Pretty Boy", to me they shot themselves in the foot with a couple of policies, which showed me at least, they have no concept of the views of ordinary people. hopefully with this result all 3 leaders will fade away. fingers crossed.

Let's not forget the Dingles voted for Kitty Usher, so don't have a great track record.

I'm ignoring party politics, as I'm disilusioned with the lot of them. Especially after Brown showing his true feelings about those that have put him in the position he's in. He's so out of touch with reality it's sickening.

I voted for the two people who are the most passionate about the area, and who understand, and have an in depth knowledge of the pros and cons we have.

I voted for Graham Jones, and Peter Britcliffe.

So all the doubting Thomases, who didn't believe I really am non-partisan, stick that it your pipe...and smoke it.

:D

Sorry Garinda I don't smoke a pipe:D

I rolled up a few minutes before ten to vote and there was hardly anybody there, never mind any queues. Maybe they're all just apathetic where I live. ;)

For the very same reason Graham was elected here. Maybe lessons could be learned by all parties. Locals who have the town at heart will always stand a better chance of being elected no matter how bad the national party are viewed.

just a joke mate - couldn't resist the 'play on words':)
anycase - at this stage - 1. will Cameron con Clegg. 2. go it alone on a minority vote.
3. throw in the towel. 4. Brown con Clegg and make up the deficit with the 'others' - or
hand the keys over??

I think that cos he's got over 20,000 Posts he's deemed an "Accy Oracle", a bit like them skimpily dressed Binters in Ancient Greece who'd partake of the vapours or something or other, then spout forth wit & wisdom to the 'Orrible 'Erberts who came in search of Knowledge & good omens ! :D

See the above:D
