joking , don't want folks to think I am a misogynist, bad enough someone thinks I'm a religious nutter :D ;)

You'll be ducked out after you'd dipped all the women, blacks, Asians, gays and lezzers, who made it onto the A-list of party candidates, primarily because of their 'diversity'.

Happily our new M.P. wasn't foisted on us by some trendy Wendy from party HQ in London.

Our local Labour party selected a local candidate, and the people of the locale thought him the best person for the job.

Why does Mancie need a doorway when he's got his park bench?

In which case, please don't wet the cardboard.

Reading all the way through this thread, I've had the nagging feeling that something's missing...what can it be?

I know! There's no sign of our resident crusader against this sort of thing, Ken Moss, who can usually be relied upon to take a stand against the sort of addle-brained thinking that Ms Harman has displayed.

I wonder where he can be..."too busy with local issues" perhaps? ;)

It's political correctness gone political.

Is that why you left the Conservative party?

Oh no, you didn't leave because you can never criticise the leadership, since you'd never do that any way.

You left because they didn't trust you.

:D

The trouble is G you've only been playing at politics since the formation of Accy Web, prior to that god knows what your poison was, If you'd have known me for longer you'd never have made a stupid statement like the above;)

...and if you'd known me for longer, or even read what's been posted on here, I received my first death threat, because of my oposition to the National Front, at the age of fifteen, and although I've never been a member of any political party, I've been involved with various political causes all my life.

Besides, it might not be how you'd have described it, but you informed us that you left the Conservative party because you weren't able to choose your own candidate list, ie: they didn't trust you to select the candidate, therefore what I said is perfectly true.

Some may 'play' at politics.

If I'm going to commit my time to anything, I play to win. The majority of causes I've been involved with, have been won.

;)
