She's off on one again !!
That marvellous Miss Harman, remember her ? Labours steward, in the absence of an identified Master/Mistress she's the one holding the reins, has once more made her views clear on the lack of distaff in the corridors of power, well in as much as it affects Labour at any rate. I have included for your perusal the following link :-
Harriet Harman: half of Labour shadow cabinet should be women - Telegraph Of particular note ?? are passages 4+5 then 15,16+17. The Lass never ceases to disappoint. I do feel there are a few more things that could be laid at her parties door, but they wouldn't really do them any favours now would they ? So the less said, anyway enjoy ! :) |
Re: She's off on one again !!
She should be out working the streets of Bradford - it's 100% women there.

Re: She's off on one again !!
I blame it on her poor childhood
She was born in London to the Harley Street physician John Bishop Harman FRCP and his wife Anna (née Spicer), a solicitor. Her parents both came from non-conformist backgrounds — her grandfather Nathaniel Bishop Harman was a prominent Unitarian and the Spicer family were well known congregationalists. Her aunt is Elizabeth Pakenham, Countess of Longford, and her cousins include the writers Lady Antonia Fraser, Lady Rachel Billington, and Thomas Pakenham. |
Re: She's off on one again !!
Her husband was allowed a safe Labour seat despite the fact he is male
"Jack Dromey (born 21 September 1948) is a British Labour politician and trade unionist, who has been the Member of Parliament for Birmingham Erdington since 2010. He was previously the Deputy General Secretary of the Transport and General Workers Union and the Treasurer of the Labour Party. He was also, for some time, the Secretary of the Brent Trades Council, including when it organised the Grunwick Dispute in 1977. He is married to Harriet Harman, currently the acting Leader of the Labour Party" |
