caravan park in church
Hello there . No need to go far with your caravan you can go next to motor spare at church .
They even have deck chairs and table and chairs with umbrellas ,:tongueout |
Re: caravan park in church
Do they have an outside portaloo or are they craping in the kerbside grate as they did last time they were in Church?
|
Re: caravan park in church

Re: caravan park in church
They should move.
The last time I went to the Acorn Centre the travellers there had connected their vans up to the lamp posts. I'm sure they'd move from near the old Con club if they knew there was a site with 'free' electricity. |

Only the owner of the land can apply for an injunction, is it one of those sites where you can dump all your rubbish when you leave?

Re: caravan park in church
well they could be moved on like jaysay has said but they would only move round a corner or something but not a lot can be done a bout it and less they get a order to move them.

Re: caravan park in church
Just be careful about those offers in the papers.
If you collect all the vouchers, you do get a weeks holiday for a family of four, but it doesn't always specify the destination. |

Re: caravan park in church
Was one of those blue police vans parked up when I went past late afternoon, but just seemed to be having a quiet word with them.
Maybe about one of the children constructing a rope swing on one of the trees ... :D |
Re: caravan park in church
You see these scumbags in the same place every June (sometimes they get on the canal side near the railway bridge on the main road). They are either on their way to or from appleby. Police wont move em cos they are scared of them, simples.

If I set up a caravan in your garden and started robbing all your neighbours you would get rid of me im sure, and I doubt you would go to the trouble of an injunction. Now that is simples

Re: caravan park in church
One thing is for sure - if this mob parked themselves outside Britcliffe's front door then it would be unlikely that they would be there for more than a day or so.
I saw this nonsense myself over the weekend. This afternoon I watched the England game with a Barrister chum of mine and happened to mention the problem of travellers continually setting up camp in Church. Her opinion was that there would be solid grounds for local residents to take HBC before the courts on the grounds of dereliction of duty and possibly on a no-win, no-fee basis. I am tempted to pursue this further. |

New Touring Caravan Park at Church
Can somebody please tell me why some people can park vans and caravans on public open space and not even get a ticket for illegal parking, what is our country coming to when we allow these people to operate outside of every law we seem to have. The people in the car accesories place have informed me that their car park is now a public toilet for these saw called people.
Being a caravan owner myself I can imagine what would happen if we tried to park up on a layby let alone a grass verge. When will these people realise they are not wanted |

Travellers moved on after complaints from residents - Accrington Observer ...the title is misleading - not moved them yet |

When my family member was ill i didnt move my entire home to visit them i stopped over at their place.Im sure if its a family issue they can be squeezed in on a legitimate campsite seen as theres plenty of them and since when does an ill family member entitle you to throw used nappies into teh street.Anyway it was clearly a lie due to how many turned up , talk about give an inch take a yard  |

Re: caravan park in church
Why can't HBC issue/pass a 'blanket' bye-law making behaviour like this anywhere in the Borough illegal, especially on Council owned land and as such requiring immediate police/Council action for a violation , seems the Council have no qualms about passing edicts enabling their goons to pass out immediate fines , with no trial for 'unsocialiable' behaviour not conducive to the public good such as tossing a cigarette butt or garbage incorrectly sorted .......... Sorry forgot... the folks who toss the occasionable cigarette butt or muck-up the early morning recycling are residents/council tax payers , who probably have a job and as such are a source of income to the Council .
I would be asking my local councillor ... Just who do you really represent . Hopefully one or more will take the time to enlighten us |
Re: caravan park in church
i recall somthing been mentioned about yet another gypo camp been built in hyndburn in previous posts so is it any wonder HBC act so slow to move them on when they are more concerned about acomodating them
screw what we think they will do as they please hey the plans may have been abandoned but i definatly recall reading about it on here somewhere. hope im wrong we need less of these campsites not more |

Re: caravan park in church
I think for previous removals a figure of £1000 has been quoted, but that seems to be a gross underestimate. My guess is that an extra zero to that sum would be about right.

Well i gave you plenty to talk about there does anyone know what time the removal is think it would be good day out to watch .
I passed today and they were all in a bunch having a meeting of some sort; and moving around 7 caravans and the wagons could be a very interesting action to watch . |

Re: caravan park in church
looks like even more cost for teh council tax payers of hyndburn because all they have done is moved to huncoat village .I cant remember the name of teh street they are at teh end of but its near some land that has peoples horses on and people are rightly worried that their hores box's wont be there long.
surely they shoudl have been told to leave the area completely this is just a farce and an expensive one at that. |

I thought the gateing was to stop the dogging?
|
Re: caravan park in church
'SEX-MAD couples are visiting a quiet Huncoat spot for the sordid act of "dogging", it was revealed this week.'
Sordid sex site sparks action call - Accrington Observer I'm sure I read on the Tinkers Dogging website that access is more difficult, because it's now gated. |
Re: caravan park in church
At the time when drain covers were going missing, a metal gate was removed from the dilapidated boundary of Heys field.
I heard the angle grinder noise in the early hours. So a metal gate will have been an added attraction - not a deterrant. |
