Maybe it was just a lark to many; but I think that aspect of the deal was owing to its novelty.

think quite a few of the 60s protests were a lark n novelty to many, when i went on the london - aldermaston CND march, the novelty soon wore off, in fact quite a few of us never got outa greater london, due to the pubs being open.:rofl38::rofl38::rofl38:

Your a nice bloke Tealeaf but sometime you do talk utter crap, the only think different thy take into exams now than we did is a calculator (which I object to, but they use them in class everyday, so:idunno:)
if anything the exams are more stringent now than years ago

Now then, Eric, here's a memory tester for you...do you remember the AGS pupils' protest march to the town hall in '62?

I remember going mob handed to the Observer offices in or around 64 to protest because the powers that be had closed the woodworking course at Accy College at Sandy Lane forcing us to go to Blackburn instead:D
