Re: They could always go back to Africa
My ANNUAL rent is less than half their monthly rent. I know at the moment my rent is paid by housing benefit but that is ridiculous, I cant beleive that they are actually paying that for them.

What happened to "CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME"? Trouble is, if they do not get what they demand, they will say it is racial.

Re: They could always go back to Africa
Housing benefit should be capped.
It is ridiculous, a rent of £8,000.00 per month. The system is abused, and needs changing, now. |

Alternatively, for a little over the cost of five months rent, we could buy for them, this beautiful 12 bedroomed hotel, with pool, in a peaceful neighbourhood in Mogadishu, Somalia.

Re: They could always go back to Africa
What I don't understand is that families who default on their mortgage, because of being made unemployed, for example, have their houses repossessed, and if the local council doesn't have any available houses, which most don't, they end up in bed and breakfasts.
The current system stinks. |

Re: They could always go back to Africa
A nice photograph of the old, 'unsuitable' house in Brent.
An area, incidentally, where there are hundreds of families living perfectly ordinary, and decent lives. 'But last month, Mr Nur spotted a vacancy in nearby Notting Hill in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and was given permission by the council to upgrade.' Council should kick asylum-seeker out of £2m house, say neighbours | Mail Online Shame on you. Kensington and Chelsea Council. You are idiots. Ironically the area that the new house is in, Notting Hill, is a wealthy area where gangs 'steam' in to mug well heeled residents of their Rolexes.
