An experiment in social engineering

Lets put OAP's in prison and prisoners in nursing homes. This way the OAP's would have access to showers, hobbies and walks, free prescriptions, dental treatment and on site medical treatment, wheels chairs, gardens etc. and even spending money. They would have constant video monitoring so if they fell or needed help they would get it immediately.Their bedding would be washed at least twice a week and their clothes washed, ironed and returned to them.
Guards would check on them every 20 minutes to see if they were OK and bring their meals and snacks to their cells if needed. They would have free access to a library, medical centre, spiritual councelling, swimming pool,a good choice of free education, free legal aid.Free clothes, shoes, satellite TV,DVD,radio, phone calls.A board of directors to act on their complaints and the guards would have a strict code of conduct.
The prisoners would be totaly ignored, get cold food, lights off early, showers once a week, a tiny room and pay £500 pounds a week. Also they'd know they would never get out. Seems fair?

Perhaps I should 'e' mail it to Ken Clarke. After all, if prison doesn't work for prisoners, it might work better on OAP's.

Is there a petition that can be signed? I am up for that. OAP's get a really raw deal.
