No ... I don't sit on the fence Cashy ... resent that. :p

It has been discussed in great detail over and over on here and have expressed my opinion arduously .... don't wish to start again.

Cllr. Prickhard (whoops sorry) Pritchard ... is a martyr in his time .. he should be claiming expenses and setting an example to any 'working man' that may wish to put up for coucil.

Maybe kate can see that being a councillor isn't the cake walk you make it out to be and I mean all parties ;)

You're quite right he deserves bigger and better horns to prove his real intent and you deserve bigger horns to stop the blind fold falling over your eyes.

I will never understand why the people of the borough are not regularly arrested for throwing bricks at councillors. It strikes me that when they eventually get around to doing the job they were elected for, most of them are about as effective and useful as chocolate fireguards. The rest of their time they appear to spend in conducting pointless personal vendettas. A reorganisation of Local Government cannot come soon enough.

And as for the pathetic procedure they have for deciding who is going to be the Mayor... well, words fail me!

If the trough is that big, maybe the councillors are missing out!

This has become one of those threads which truly reflects real life. Ask why a politician does anything and you get a load of waffle and no answers :)

Said with the usual loudness of a hollow ship. Come on Bob. Show some intellect. Personal vendetta's are all chronicled and the backward looking moralising of a plague on both your houses doesn't stand scrutiny.

Councillor's may lack skills but then with voters who have an acerbic tongue and a lazy mind, why would anyone want to do it. To stand there and take unqualified criticism.

Well put Graham, I've always said councillors from all parties deserve what they are paid, I for one wouldn't do the job in this day and age, ts not worth the hassle
