Seems it's the season for cruelty to animals.

There's a story in tonight's Telegraph about a sheep that was bludgeoned to death and a heart-rending story about a poor little terrier put into a carrier bag with weights and thrown into the canal.

I'm not a great animal lover but dogs are the most loyal pet you could wish for and the thought of such a distressing death is quite upsetting.

yes, that seems fair to me...as long as it is at least 30 feet deep with shiny sides and two foot of cat poo in the bottom. Oh yes and a very heavy lid....just in case she manages somehow to get to the top.

I'm not condoning what she's done but if she's as fed up of scraping cat muck out of her roses as I am then I can at least partially understand why.

Don't blame the cats .......blame the owners. It is a relatively simple task to stop cats from killing birds........though cats are by nature predatory......you just put a collar on the cat and add a bell.
As for cats using your plant pots for a toilet....again it is simple to get cats used to using a litter tray for toilet purposes.

even if this woman had issues about cats soiling her garden, this was not the way to solve those problems.....she ought to have known better.

That particular point is quite frustrating with all pet owners who simply don't want to deal with that side of things. I've had blazing rows in the street with dog walkers for exactly the same reason (when I've actually managed to catch them).

The sparrows situation is a bit of a mystery though because of the two dozen or so cats that live in the surrounding houses they all have collars and bells. I can only assume that they were young birds who didn't know any better.

It's very annoying when you've tried to feed families of birds (starlings too) all struggling to find food for their chicks in a terraced area.

I think this sad, cruel woman should be pitied, as well as prosecuted.

I also think the people who issue threats, usually from the safety of an anonymous computer, should also face prosecution.

Unbelivably the parents of the twins, who were recently attacked in their beds by urban foxes, faced similar threats, after 'animal lovers' thought they'd injured the children themselves, in order to repeal the hunting ban.

The animal rights fanatics who waged a hate campaign against the fox attack family can be revealed today by the Daily Mail (and, oh yes, they're almost all on benefits)

Sadly the cat woman isn't the only sick person we have in society.

These animal rights brigade are Sick SOB, they put the life of animals above that of humans, I'm against animal cruelty, definitely against testing cosmetics on them, but almost all medical cures need testing and if its done humanely, without the animals suffering its a necessity, And those women who were involved in the fox story appear regularly in Viz:rolleyes:

The fact that she asked what the fuss was about and also said 'It was only a cat'(allegedly) shows that she is not sorry and she fails to grasp that what she did was not only wrong, but cruel too,

Agreed.

Her reported reaction was unbelievable.

She's only sorry she was named and shamed.
