Re: Deposit on Bottles

I recall the old syle bottles were thicker glass than the ones we get now.
They were made to be recycled - the fragile thin ones aren't.
Using stronger thicker glass will cause production problems for the drinks manufacturers and will increase the cost of the products (even before the surcharge is added)

I don't like the plastic bottles, and the thought that they have been used before makes me shudder at the hygiene implications - ie. you can't scald a plastic bottle clean.

They are doing that already, so how does this 'new initiative' mean anything different (other than adding to the price)

maybe who knows but if there wasnt a WORLD recession we would have paid it back in time and there would be less poverty people forget what it was like before labour.expensive child care,no n.w.wage[good job we have on now or people would have been working for a pound an hour] crumbling schools and hospitals more crime etc.:p

Have you ever considered copying and pasting that post to a note book file?

It would save you quite a large amount of time typing it out, you use it with boring repetition during a typical day.
