Plenty of people struggle to make their money stretch to a decent standard of living but dont turn to theft to supplement their income.Theft is theft no matter what ,its wrong.Nine times out of ten people like that think the world owes them a living. The system for dealing with them is to leniant and panders to the dogooders who jump up and down because the person comes from a deprived background or a broken home, "its not his or her fault they do these bad things" they say, well its not mine or any other decent persons either but we have to keep picking up the tab for these people.

spot on, to many lawyers( making a living from coming up with the best sympathy bull ---- ever) lying and then getting promoted in their practice for top results, similar to another group who get promoted by numbers or wins.. ill say again its the system and model as these people are encouraged and have to doit, to survive !!

the facts are this country has gone to the dogs since all serious punishment was outlawed by people who live in libraries, rural locations and those who go straight from uni- into politics they have never suffered so WILL NEVER EVER UNDERSTAND OUR PAIN AND SUFFERING !!!!

Spot on, those who say Violence is not the answer are talking crap to me, a good example is i refused to go on hols wi my mates to the Isle Of Man in the 60s, fer the simple reason i had a damn good chance of being birched.;)

another good example is this one, at one time you would be embarassed to let your pals down or even think of lying to them.... these days its i will do whatever i want and not what is necessary RIGHT.. and with the texting era well upon us folk just send a text rather than pick up the house phone and explain the truth or more likely the non- truth.

Try the Home office or the office of national statistics

Re: Theft

I could take the trouble to find the link, but it would be pointless, since statistics are fudged all the time in order to put present governments in a good light or past governments in a bad light. Plus the statistics gathered vary, in order to make fudging easier.

So....don't waste your time

PS - the public perception of crime rates too is manipulated by the media (under direction of governments) ie. you are told what to believe

Re: Theft

as sooin as it became apparent that judges were going soft on criminals the crime rate jumped up and the crime rate wont go down again until judges stop been soft.Another way they reduce their figures is to make crimes not crimes like possession of drugs for example.People still walking around possessing drugs but its no longer a crime so drugs related crime figures go down.Im not debating teh wrong or right of possessing drugs just giving an example :-)
