You're post 97 simply lists water shortage areas. It doesn't mention fracking. The Texan State Water Board states around 1% of the overall water usage in Texas goes to the oil and gas industry. A lot of that is 'brackish' and from very deep wells so is undrinkable anyway and can't be used for agriculture. More is recycled sewage water sold to the frackers by the towns and cities. Might I suggest your assumption and your post 'Doesn't hold water'? Just a minor point- Briscoe appears to be in the middle of the West Texas Desert. Contributing factor?? |

Somehow I get the feeling that 'fracking' must be far more environmentally friendly than the little escapade we helped the Americans with to get our hands on Iraq's oil.
