Not surprised really, sad though it is, I feel the murder of 95 inocent people, some if them teenagers, by a Nazi, more upsetting than that of a young lady who enjoyed illegal drugs on a daily basis.
I personally was not a big fan of her music, but she will get immortality now, just like Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Karen Carpenter, Jim Morrison etc
Shouldn't this be in the music thread?

A great shame, phenomenal talent. In my opinion she should not be placed upon this 'role model' pedastal that the press and the rest of her industry seem to think she deserves. Friends, family and fans have lost a loved one and that's very sad. A lonely life stardom may be, but it doesn’t have to be, each one of us has choices and options.

We do not know the full truth only what we read in the papers in the past and cannot judge based on "stories".

We now know how those stories came about, illegal message interception and very dodgy investigators, they are probably more accurate than we thought at the time.

Its always sad when someone dies so young.

No big shock, she made her choices. She had a decent voice and could have made a big success of herself, but as people have said addictions bad news. I won't be shedding any tears for her, and hope that no-one glorifies her for joining the 27 Club. Waste of a young life, waste of a potential talent.:(

This is true, hon. Couldn't stand her music, but that's a generational thing. But I sure as hell won't be casting any stones at her lifestyle.

What a joke, people posting rip to a waste of space junkie, no-one made her take drugs, everyone knows the dangers of them, there's people out there who really deserve the use of the word sympathy starting with the innocent people slaughtered in Norway
