Someone stealing from graveyards

New thread on Great Harwood mailing list:
Quote:

Hi there, some low life is stealing flower pots off graves. we have several graves in the cemetry and my sister said all the pots had gone
Quote:

They weren't metal ones were they?
Quote:

yes, they were all metal ones! Not worth replacing them is it?
Quote:

What kind of person steals from the dead, is nothing sacred anymore? I bet it's not the only cemetry to have been targeted.
Keep an eye on your loved ones... :(

When the work dried up he just sat at home, and got metal fatigue.

on a more serious note now the vodka has worn off rather than it be metal theives coudl it not be that somone has taken them for someone elses graves?

when i used to have to go visit the grave yard there was never enough pots around and people helped themselves to ones not in use on other graves.Unfortuantly people are less considerate these days and probably take one and dump the flowers.

maybe paint your surname on the next pot you get so if it does turn out to be people borrowing pots they will be less likely to take it. :)
