Someone stealing from graveyards

New thread on Great Harwood mailing list:
Quote:
Hi there, some low life is stealing flower pots off graves. we have several graves in the cemetry and my sister said all the pots had gone
Quote:
They weren't metal ones were they?
Quote:
yes, they were all metal ones! Not worth replacing them is it?
Quote:
What kind of person steals from the dead, is nothing sacred anymore? I bet it's not the only cemetry to have been targeted.
Keep an eye on your loved ones...

Re: Someone stealing from graveyards

hmmm dads grave has a tin pot for flowers worth around 1p in scrap

yup i will take the advice and watch my loved one like a hawk 24 hours a day over a pot worth 1p

if his pot is missing i will let him put a formal complaint in via the avialable methods himself via ....

ouiji board

possesion

haunting

if he cant be bothered with either i will assume hes fine with loosing his pot and let these masterminds keep their 1p

ok ok i jest

dad was burnt hes blown over god knows where and what stayed put is covered in horse manure

When the work dried up he just sat at home, and got metal fatigue.

Re: Someone stealing from graveyards

on a more serious note now the vodka has worn off rather than it be metal theives coudl it not be that somone has taken them for someone elses graves?

when i used to have to go visit the grave yard there was never enough pots around and people helped themselves to ones not in use on other graves.Unfortuantly people are less considerate these days and probably take one and dump the flowers.

maybe paint your surname on the next pot you get so if it does turn out to be people borrowing pots they will be less likely to take it.
