and it is criminal to expect the British tax payer to fund tickets to the games for VIP's, who could probably afford to pay for themselves anyway.

Do it in the nude again, where the Olympics first began. It's spiritual home.

Greece could do with the extra revenue, a few more sex tourists would bring in.

Hope British Gas have filled in all the holes they have dug around the town. Seems like we're under siege at the moment by roadworks and temporary traffic lights.

Authentic Nudie Olympics, Greece 2020.

I've very few tickets left for the ladies beach volley ball events.

Though at the moment you can sit where you like for the shot-put, and weight lifting.

;):D

I always think of Matthew 12:12, when I see that odious little man, and his trestle, as I did on Saturday.

I have this overwhelming urge to do as Jesus did, and start overturning tables.

:rolleyes::D

Fair's fair.

Corrie's Norris was a steward/medal bearer at the Commonwealth Games, when it was held in Manchester, in 2002.

Further details announced today.

The local leg of the relay will start at 10:19 in Oswaldwistle on June 23rd. Looks like it will be starting the leg near Harvey St Community Centre and going along Union Road.

So if you stand outside the Tinker and Budget at 10:20 you should get a good view and the regulars will have something to light their fags on.

One of our members has been honoured to carry the torch on one leg, albeit designated her to Lancaster. :confused:

What I didn't know was that each runner has their own torch, and the 'flame' passed on from runner to runner .... silly me.

They have the option of buying this themselves as a souvenir. Only £199.00 ... a snip .. :D
