A horrible Tykey person gave me some Copper Dragon (Pippin) the other week & considering it comes from the wrong side of the moors it was OK. :D

I've got a reprieve. One presentation bottle of Hobgoblin that I'd forgotten about!

Not keen on Copper Dragon ales, bit wishy-washy for my tastes. Mind you, I cut my teeth on Old Peculier.

Try the Victoria in Great Harwood (known locally as the Butcher Brig) for some cracking beers.

On this forum people have always grumbled when our politicans do something stupid.

They will continue to do so, whoever's in power, and whether politicans choose to come on here, and use Accy Web, for whatever reasons.

I continue to have a lot of fun on here, just seems to be more and more with people who don't automatically have a cross to bear with those in control of HBC.

Vote Moorhouses this May, we need to keep Tadcaster ales out!

When it comes to Ale I'm a bit of a slapper, I'll cozy up to most of em, no morales whatsoever. :D Although there are some that get my attention before others do.

They all come along the bar with their shiny badges, trying to convince you that they'll do the best for you.

I've got a frothier head than he has, I'll quench your thirst better than he will....heard it all before.

In the end you just have to try them all to find out who's best and who never to vote for again.

You weren't 'inherently against' this one-sided, inflammatory piece of blatant anti-Indian propaganda, that has sod all to do with Hyndburn anyway?

The motion, as put before the council -

'That this Council supports the Kashmir community here in Hyndburn in condemning the atrocities committed and acts of barbaric violence by Indian Forces in Indian occupied Kashmir which has resulted in women been gang raped, children lined up and shot dead in front of their parents, people been torched and set on fire in their jail cells.'

God give me strength.

Is that what I actually voted on?

I think not.

That was the offical motion, put before the council, that night last November.

That's what all the propagandist around the world, report the council as supporting.

You idiots gave them fuel for their fires.

I don't think they're too interested in what the wording might have been subsequently changed to.

You patsies did exactly what they hoped you'd do.

If yeh think stating me honest opinion is having a go yer sadly mistaken, n thats another example to me of wriggling. If yeh was not inherently against, Then that says to me yer either for it, or at best Didn't know a great deal about the issue? n if that was the case then i fail to grasp how yeh could vote in favour. If i was having a go, yeh would really know it.

Oh, the sleep I'll lose.

No one knew for ages what you eventually voted too support.

Any enquiries were met with a wall of stony silence.

Almost as if time was needed, wondering how you could squirm out of doing something so idiotic.

Patsies, people who don't mind being used by others, very often sleep well.

It's mainly because they're a bit thick.

How can I face my residents now? It's probably the worst thing I've ever done in my life.

All I need is for them give two shiny shillings about it.

Oh I'm sure the people of Rishton will be thrilled you're now an Internationlist councillor.

Beavering away for the Pakistani cause, in the Kashmir conflict.

It's always good to have two strings to your bow.

Elections won't be won looking for dog turds, via night-vision goggles, alone.

i have family in rishtion and also quite a few friends and yes the people of rishton as a whole i would say dont give a hoot about people form kashmir unless they dare buy a house to live in there lol.Mind you iv yet to speak to anyone that can figure out what buisness HBC had sticking its nose into foriegn affairs but like you said teh torys brought the motion forward. However going with teh flow isnt much better i would rather have seen councilors laughing it out of council and slapping the silly tory that thought the motion up :)

It seems to me the whole motion was nothing more than an arse kissing exercise by a councilor to his constituants in the hope of obtaining their votes
