Can someone explain this to me, please.

It does seem odd -I suppose it's a sort of popularity contest.

Good on your son.

I'm sure you're rightly proud.

I click every day, and keep posting it on my wall, in the hope some of my friends will also do it.

It's been clicked from Italy quite a few times already.

I'll work on Spain next.

:D

Just trying to see if it was possible to vote directly.

You can't.

Sorry if you're not on Facebook.

You do need to be logged in there, in order to vote.

Flora want something for their £30k and its us advertising for them - I don't mind a bit of advertising for them if it works.

That's not what I was getting at, Neil, meant the count of votes. Not exactly 'one man, one vote', more like 'one man, numerous votes' if that makes sense. Not tru'istic of the number of people who support this cause.

Ah, think I see now ... is just like a game ... get as many hits as you can, nothing to do with the merits of the bid or number of voters.

Will keep on voting ... except the site appears to be down at the moment. :(

I tried earlier to vote and it gave me an error too and wouldn't go to the link -thought it was just me.

When was the deadline - perhaps it's already over?

Thanks for the tip-off.

Have just voted.

It's second place at the moment.
I don't like the way it's down to votes and not merit either Kate but unless you have £30,000 it's worth trying.
From experience I would not expect £30,000 is enough to do what the people involved expect but it will help.

Agreed.

Basically it's a competiton, run as part of a commercial enterprise's advertising campaign.

As it's free to vote, and no skin off my nose, and this area might benefit, I'll keep on voting every day, until it ends at the end of the month.

:)
