I might be getting too used to this site, but why do I just KNOW that tomorrow morningthere will be a post from jaysay telling us that EVERYTHING to do with the NHS is the fault of Blair Brown and Co, and there will be a handy quote from the Daily Mail to back up his assertions........:(

Cue jaysay........

Ha ha ha! Well the politicians have had their 6 week summer holidays and now it's back to business for those who've got the stomach for it. Hunts as dodgy as Murdoch.

Not Jaysay, but me.
The Conservatives came up with PFI, but Gordon Brown loved it so much he went mad with it and now we have a time bomb.
The funding timebomb that crippled an NHS healthcare trust - Health News - Health & Families - The Independent

Let's face it, they all eat out of the same trough, but some on here will not hear a bad word against their party, c'mon, Mancie, etc.....
That is why I said.

And Murdoch in turn is as 'dodgy' as Tony Blair.
No hang on no one is as dodgy as Teflon Tony

Oh and speaking of Maria Miller, I can find nothing to back up the picture Walter in this thread, other than the gay community, nothing in anything impartial. But I did find a piece about her championing Disabled rights and campaigning for the Blue Badge for under 2's.

But then, although I am right wing in my views, I am not blinkered by the colour blue or red, unlike some on here.

Just WHAT is the alternative?...a labour party full of clueless, mealy mouthed sycophants following the wrong Miliband like lemmings over the European precipice..Diane Abbot as Home Secretary and Graham Jones as Minister for Europe...

A party totally bereft of any semblance of this country's needs, a party without a real grasp of basic economics, a party whose only claim to fame in the last two years has been jumping on populist bandwagons...

And still Joe Public wouldn't vote them in, look at Bradford, traditional labour voters would rather vote for an idiot like Galloway than a labour politician.

Can't argue with one word Guinness, the days of either party producing statesmen are long gone, you really do have to shudder when the three main parties can only come up with Cameron, Clegg and Miliband you know the game's really up. Is it any wonder why only just over 60% of the electorate bothered to turn up at the last election, I can remember when the turnout in Hyndburn was over 80%, but nobody cares anymore, there's just nothing to care about, because nothing changes except the colour of the lable

Yes, because after a few drinks it's impossible to repeat his name correctly.

With the Hunt part suffering worst.

Tradition.

;)

Besides, once every Preston Guild, don't you traditionally make the same observation?

:D

I like tradition.

It makes me feel all cosy.

You really are the worst advert for a traditional labour voter, you say nothing, substantiate nothing and prove nothing. You shy away from any thread that criticises your party because you are so blinkered in your views you cannot see the wood for the trees and you cannot debate.

Every single post you make is a simple *sticks tongue out* na na na na nah, totally without any supporting argument, totally without a personal view.

Graham Jones must cringe every time he reads one of your posts because they show the mentality of the typical new labour voter....attack a policy, don't offer an alternative view to the policy and then skulk away to find something else to attack without having an alternative......oh wait..that is Millibandism isn't it?

No, sorry, Graham only cringes when 95% of the new labour voters put forward this attitude.

People like me, that would under 'normal circumstances', vote labour, continue to search for an alternative.

I don't know too much about New Labour ... and, for some reason, I don't think I want to know :D... but I agree with most of what you say. I've voted for social democratic parties my whole voting life, and folks like C'mon don't help their party's cause one bit. He represents the type of polarization that one sees in the US. I believe that toryism is the wrong form of politics for the average joe ... that would be most of us;) The answer is not partisan rant; leave that to the attack ads at election time. Those who are comfortable with a left of center government should work within the party that best represents how they feel that governments should act. Best way is to work with an existing party; new parties don't usually take off unless they represent a strong localized constituency. The Parti Quebecois is a good example.

I believe government should attempt to represent everyone, even those opposed to them. I don't think that the tories in the UK are doing this right now. That doesn't mean that they aren't capable of doing so. It does mean that they seem to be prisoners of an outdated social and economic ideology. A lot like C'mon actually.
